Over the weekend Spokane Valley Police responded to a suspicious person call at a business near the 16200 block of East Broadway, and found 35 year old Joel Denenny, parked in the middle of a lumber loading area at a business.
When officers contacted Denenny, they checked his name and confirmed Denenny had a warrant for his arrest for suspended driving and was placed under arrest.
Business employees who told police they witnessed Denenny fill a cart full of items from the business and when Denenny saw employees watching him, he decided to leave the items near the door.
Denenny was transported to the Spokane County Jail. Corrections Deputies located a clear plastic baggy containing methamphetamine inside Denenny's front bib pocket of his overalls .
Denenny admitted the substance was methamphetamine, but that he did not use it. Denenny was booked into jail for the warrant and a felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine.
