Spokane Police arrested 38 year old robber, Gregory J. Brimer yesterday evening after the suspect robbed the Quick Mart at 164 South Browne ST. A female clerk reported a male entered the store and began to choke her. The robber demanded cash from her register. Fearing for her life, the clerk handed about $200-300 in cash and the robber fled the store.

Spokane Police Officers arrived rather fast despite the heavy downtown traffic. An officer spotted Brimer running north from the S. 100 block of Stevens. The officer caught up to the suspect and stopped him.

As soon as Brimer was stopped, he attempted to strike the officer. The officer used a Lateral Vascular Neck Restraint to subdue Brimer until other officers arrived to assist taking him into custody.

Officers transported the Brimer to the scene so the clerk could positively identify him. The cash stolen from the store was recovered from Brimer after the arrest. Primer booked for 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Assault.
