Police Looking for Leads

Spokane Police detectives may still have no real solid leads relating to the hit and run death of a female. The body of the unidentified woman was discovered around 4 a.m. yesterday morning.

Police are searching for a person who was driving a teal colored station wagon type vehicle in this area yesterday morning. This  person IS NOT a suspect.  Police merely want to contact this person or people to see if they witnessed anything unusual.

Police have determined the victim’s body was dragged approximately 15 blocks (about a mile) before coming dislodged at the intersection of Ash and Maxwell.

To give you a perspective of the crime scene, the body dragged from Cedar and Carlisle to Northwest Blvd and Ash and then South on Ash to Maxwell.

There are several businesses along this route, and these businesses have surveillance cameras. No doubt, police have contacted these businesses.

If you are a businesses or resident along this route with a recordable surveillance camera, and the police have not contacted you, you should contact the Spokane Police Department; you never know your tape could lead investigators to valuable information.

Police have not released the identity of the woman, and will do so once the autopsy is completed sometime today.

If you have information about this case, you are urged to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
