BOLO | The Centennial Trail Groper

A 23-year-old Spokane County woman reported being assaulted by the same suspect twice in one day, once on the Centennial Trail and a second time on a road behind her apartment complex at 4900 E. Upriver.

The woman told Crime Check she was jogging about a mile and a half east of her residence when a 20-year-old white male rode up behind her on a dark mountain bike and grabbed her bottom.

The suspect asked her if she liked it, and the woman ran from him. Later that same day, the victim was walking on a gravel road between her home and Minnehaha Park when the same male rode up and grabbed her a second time.

She said the suspect appeared shocked that she was the same woman he had assaulted earlier in the day, leading the victim to believe he may ride around that general area targeting any lone female.

The victim said the suspect has brown eyes and is about 5’11” tall and 140 to 150 pounds. She said the first attack was at about 7:30 a.m. and the second about 5 p.m.

Anyone with information about the suspect is encouraged to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
