SPOKANE VALLEY | Central Valley Highschool Bomb Threat Update

     On Wednesday March 20, 2013, Spokane Valley Sheriff's deputies invesitigated a bomb threat at entral Valley High School. Due to the nature of the threat, the school district chose to cancel class at the school for the day to ensure the safety of the students and staff. Two Fairchild Airforce Base K-9 units were dispatched and cleared the school .

Sheriff's deputies have been investigating the threat and yesterday arrested a 15- year-old female for making the threat. According to the investigation, the suspect made the threat because she wasn't prepared for an assignment due in class.      

Crime Stoppers | $16,000 In Cards Taken From Valley Business

 

On March 23, 2013, Spokane Valley Sheriff's deputies responded to Spokane Valley Sports Cards located near Argonne and Sprague avenue to take a burglary report. The business owner reported the burglary took place somewhere between March 21 and March 23.

The owner says that about $10, 000 worth of vintage baseball and football cards were stolen, as well as about $6,000 worth of celebrity cards. The owner of the business stated the sports cards are extremely valuable. Many of the cards are from the 50's and 60's era.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anyone who can provide information in this case resulting in the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects. Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward.

SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF WARNS | Let the Pros Catch Thieves

 Spokane County law enforcement officials are discouragning the law abiding public from taking action and not confront shoplifters and thieves and to let 'the professionals' do it.

Law enforcement agencies around the Spokane area have noticed a sharp rise in the number of shoplifting and some robbery incidents where concerned citizens have attempted to invervene.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, citizens have been going above and beyond from simply calling in a crime to 911 to actually taking actions into their own hands by attempting to apprehend criminals during the commission of a crime. The sheriff's office is worried citizens are putting their personal safety at risk.

SPOKANE COUNTY | Early Morning Stabbing in North Spokane County

 

 

 

This morning, December 19, 2012, at about 2:15 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a business near the 4200 block of E. Westwood Avenue to a possible stabbing call. Deputies arrived on scene and located a male subject with apparent stab wounds lying unconscious on the ground in the parking lot. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

A short time after the incident, two adult males contacted 911 and said they had been the ones attacked by the male unconscious in the parking lot. Both subjects have been detained while Major Crimes Detectives continue the investigation.

Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives and Spokane County Forensics personnel processed the crime scene this morning.
